The accreditations apply across our entire sales and aftersales operations, to all our business activities relating to heavy lift trucks and laden and unladen container handling.
Unlike some companies operating in our sector, we don’t have to rely on a manufacturer’s accreditations.
For us, international management system specification OHSAS18000 is the real differentiator, because it underlines just how seriously we take health and safety.
Cooper has always worked to a programme of risk assessments and method statements. Now, we plan to introduce dynamic risk assessments, which will enable us to identify potential risk factors and take action to mitigate them in a particular environment on a given day.
We’re also carrying out detailed safety checks on subcontractors, so our customers know that everyone representing Cooper can work safely on their sites and demonstrate a minimum level of competence.
To underline our commitment, we’ve adopted an Integrated Management System to maximise business functionality without compromising the needs of the ISO standards. We’ll be certifying/calibrating all tools and each member of our team will benefit from a skills-based personal training programme.
