Cooper Handling Solutions Ltd, the rental and after-sales arm of Cooper Group Holdings Ltd, has announced a significant investment of almost £2m in new Telestack LF520 rental equipment for 2022.
The Telestack LF520 news is further to our February news announcing the purchase of the very first dedicated intermodal SANY Reachstacker for our short-term rental fleet.
Many businesses strive to maintain the flexibility to take up new opportunities, while also ensuring they can respond to changing customer requirements. Hiring in heavy duty lifting equipment on a short-term basis, like the Telestack LF520, makes sound economic sense.
Cooper has always adopted a consultative approach, built upon decades of industry experience in finding innovative solutions for customers’ handling needs. We frequently challenge the status quo, offering arguably the largest dedicated short-term rental fleet of modern equipment, which now includes the Telestack LF520.
Our dedicated rental fleet has in the past consisted of general purpose Reachstackers, mainly the 4531G or H9 equivalent ‘yard-stacking’ machines. Our newly purchased, fully intermodal Reachstacker is an investment that aims to enhance the scope of offering for heavy rental equipment. It now includes Conveyor Systems, a range of multiple Heavy Capacity Forklifts and the addition of two brand-new Material Handlers.
Up first is the purchase of a Telestack LF520 Low Range Mobile Hopper Feeder, which allows the operator to discharge directly from wheel loaders, grabs and excavators onto barges and vessels at a significantly lower feed height compared to standard Hopper Feeders.
The Telestack LF520 unit is fully transportable with handling rates of circa 600 t/hr. Its ability to aid customers means it increases shed volumes and loading of vessels, cementing Cooper’s ambition to be the strongest logistics partner from vessel to shed and vice versa.
A significant investment has also been made with our long-standing global partner, Svetruck. Since 1977, Svetruck has delivered Forklifts and Log Stackers all over the world within the concept of genuine quality machines combined with the cutting edge of modern technology.
Today they are one of the leading Forklift manufacturers. The highly sought-after equipment from Svetruck includes the 25-120 Heavy Capacity Forklift Truck. The first factory refurbished unit, purchased by Coopers, allows us to act immediately on the shortage in the market of quality short-term rentals.
Additionally, a further investment has been made with 2 x 33120-42 Svetruck Heavy Capacity Forklifts. These very special Forklifts have been selected to cope with any operating situation a customer may have.
Built on a wheelbase traditionally seen as 25 tonnes, the machine offers incredible lift capacity vs turning radius. No expense has been spared when building in the options and this will set us apart from the rest of the UK rental market.
And so begins our newest venture into the world of dedicated Material Handler rentals – 2 x 48 tonne SANY Material Handlers specified with 18 reach arms and a high specification options list. The units will allow us to demonstrate SANY’s innovative design and robust build; available from mid-2022.
