Cooper Handling Group has been named as the exclusive UK dealer for port and industrial heavy handling equipment manufactured by global heavy equipment giants, Sany.
Cooper has built a solid reputation as a leading equipment and engineering support provider of port and heavy handling equipment in the UK, supplying and servicing a complete range of equipment including reachstackers, container handlers, port side and other specialised lifting machines.
They also remain an outlet for Konecranes products and continue to support their equipment in exactly the same way. The Company maintains that with so much experience with the product, they remain the default service provider in the UK and Ireland markets for Konecranes equipment.
Building on this market experience Cooper will now also supply and support the Sany range – built at a new purpose built factory in Bedburg, Germany. The core products will include heavy capacity forklifts, reach stackers and empty container handlers, which fit neatly into the Cooper ports and heavy lift product portfolio.

Cooper believes that the market now has the option to choose high quality German built and European sourced products that meet EU specifications and standards without paying a hefty price premium.
“These products carry the same warranty and UK based support so we see this value-quality proposition as a very competitive and compelling offer. It will be a natural fit for our business in UK and Ireland markets,” he said.

Dazi believes that Sany will unquestionably be a major force in the European heavy handling and container handling markets. Completing their ports and specialised heavy handling offer, Cooper Handling is also the exclusive distributor for Mantsinen material handlers for solid and bulk quay-side handling.
