Cooper Handling Group have released a brand-new website that raises the bar yet further and showcases their hugely impressive portfolio of port-handling equipment and after-sales service.
Taking centre-stage of the new website is the innovative new ‘Product Selector’ which enables customers to interact with the site to establish the various handling options that are available to them. In some cases, they might be obvious, but the selector will also produce more obscure results using lateral thinking that adopts Cooper’s own consultative approach to business.
In total there are currently 22 different product categories from which a customer can opt for three differing handling needs. This can be either ‘lift and stack’, ‘lift and carry’ or ‘charge/discharge’ a vessel. Depending on the product type and handling inputs selected will open a landing page of the various possible outcomes. In total. It is estimated there exist 4500 unique pathways given all the differing available permutations.
Natasha Barnes, Marketing and Brand Manager for Cooper Handling commented “The UK market is very much set in its ways with the mode of handling a continuation of what went before. This new selector will provide alternate choices which may, or may not, be an improvement but it is our nature to continually challenging the status quo”. Natasha continued “who would have thought that a translifter is a sensible way to lift and carry steel coils? The old-fashioned way would be to buy multiple lift trucks each shuttling one or two coils at a time. The smart way is to load 18 coils onto a single translifter and use one forklift to unload them whilst another cassette is being loaded. The new product selector now provides that option for that, and other commodities.
Other features of the website are to segregate products by their function rather than manufacturer which also makes a clear differentiation between Mantsinen hydraulic cranes and Sany material handlers. The new site showcase that Coopers are as comfortable with bulk as they are break bulk and containers. As Natasha Barnes points out “There isn’t a commodity, or a handling need that we have identified for which we won’t have a solution”.
In creating the tone of the website Natasha Barnes explains “We have purposely placed ourselves in the customer’s position for what a customer would want from a site rather than looking from a supplier’s perspective” The new site also contains more video material and has been designed in such a way that access to all media using multiple entry points. All new and used stock as well as ‘live’ machine rental availability will also be highly visible and updated regularly.
The new website will be available from Wednesday 12th May 2021.
