Cooper Specialised Handling Ltd and Camblift AB Form Strategic Partnership

Cooper Specialised Handling Ltd, the UK and Ireland’s premier independently owned port handling equipment provider, is proud to announce a new strategic partnership with Swedish reach stacker manufacturer, Camblift Ab.

This partnership brings together two independent, engineering-led businesses with a shared commitment to innovation, performance, and delivering long-term value to customers. By combining Camblift’s cutting-edge Swedish design and manufacturing with Cooper Specialised Handling’s established market presence and renowned local support, the partnership introduces a compelling new proposition for ports and industrial operators across the UK and Ireland.

Founded in 2019 and based in Ljungby, Sweden, Camblift produced its first reach stacker in 2022. Designed and built entirely in Sweden, Camblift machines are widely regarded as the most advanced reach stackers available on the market today, with a strong focus on operator comfort, user interface, intelligent machine design, and maximising maintenance uptime. Despite its relative youth, Camblift has already secured a significant share of Sweden’s highly demanding domestic market.

Camblift’s comprehensive portfolio consists of 30 models across five wheelbases and three drivetrain options: an 11-litre Volvo engine with TE30 transmission, an 8-litre Volvo engine with HVT transmission, and a fully battery-electric configuration. All models are available in either top-lift or combined top-and-bottom lift variants and can be configured for industrial applications within the wind, energy, and steel sectors.

The battery-electric models provide future-proof flexibility, allowing additional battery packs to be installed post-delivery should operational demands or shift patterns evolve.

For Cooper Specialised Handling, the partnership marks a return to Swedish-manufactured reach stackers, following the successful launch of the, then hitherto unknown, SMV range in 1998. It also reinforces Cooper’s commitment to offering best-in-class equipment supported by strong local expertise, service, and long-term customer relationships.

David Cooper, Owner and Executive Director of Cooper Specialised Handling Ltd, commented:

“We are extremely proud to be partnering with Camblift. What they have developed is a truly exceptional machine. The quality, attention to detail, and level of innovation are outstanding. This partnership represents far more than a new product range; it is a shared vision for the future of reach stacker design and customer support. ”He added: “The addition of Camblift to our product portfolio brings a true Nordic feel, complementing SveTruck lift trucks from Sweden, alongside Mantsinen hydraulic cranes and Movella translifters from Finland. All of these businesses share a common theme of high quality, customer-focused and tailored heavy handling solutions.”

Carl-Olof Eckerborn, Managing Director of Camblift AB, added:

“Cooper Specialised Handling’s reputation in the UK and Ireland speaks for itself. Their technical expertise, market knowledge, and customer-focused approach make them an ideal partner for Camblift. We are excited to work closely with David and his team as we expand our presence together.”

The partnership is effective immediately, with the first Camblift machines expected to arrive in-country later this year.
